On March 13 at 7:00 PM, an author-led tour of the exhibition \u201cThe Wedding: Fantasies and Fears\u201d will take place at Tytonie.art in Lublin. The exhibition was created by Aleksandra Sochan, a graduate of Costume Design at MSKPU, who will speak about the process behind developing a collection inspired by Stanis\u0142aw Wyspianski\u2019s drama.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Our graduate Aleksandra Sochan<\/strong> continues to build momentum, further developing her artistic practice in the field of costume design. On March 13 at 7:00 PM<\/strong>, she invites visitors to join her for an author-led tour of the exhibition \u201cThe Wedding: Fantasies and Fears\u201d<\/strong>, presented at the Tytonie.art space in Lublin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition is inspired by the drama The Wedding<\/em> by Stanis\u0142aw Wyspia\u0144ski. In the raw, industrial space of a former tobacco hall, visitors can see costumes referencing the characters of the play. The figures from the drama appear here as manifestations of the collective imagination\u2014symbols of fantasies, obsessions, and fears embedded in Polish culture.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Aleksandra will talk about the process of creating the designs, her inspirations, and the work involved in building a character through costume. It is also an opportunity to see what the work of a costume designer looks like \u2013 from the initial idea to the final realization.<\/strong> Some of the fabrics used in the designs come from second-hand sources, and the costumes were created through hand sewing and traditional embroidery techniques.<\/p>\n

Aleksandra\u2019s story shows how studying at MSKPU can translate into real professional practice.<\/strong> The Costume Design program develops both technical design skills<\/strong> and the ability to create original concepts that later function within artistic and theatrical spaces.<\/strong><\/p>\n
