In the raw, industrial space of a former tobacco hall, visitors can see costumes referencing the characters of the play. The figures from the drama appear here as manifestations of the collective imagination—symbols of fantasies, obsessions, and fears embedded in Polish culture.

During the meeting, Aleksandra will talk about the process of creating the designs, her inspirations, and the work involved in building a character through costume. It is also an opportunity to see what the work of a costume designer looks like – from the initial idea to the final realization. Some of the fabrics used in the designs come from second-hand sources, and the costumes were created through hand sewing and traditional embroidery techniques.

Aleksandra’s story shows how studying at MSKPU can translate into real professional practice. The Costume Design program develops both technical design skills and the ability to create original concepts that later function within artistic and theatrical spaces.

🔗 More about the exhibition

[/spb_text_block]

[spb_single_image image=”17141″ image_size=”full” frame=”noframe” intro_animation=”none” full_width=”no” lightbox=”yes” link_target=”_self” width=”1/2″ el_position=”first”] [spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”1/2″ el_position=”last”] On March 13 at 7:00 PM, an author-led tour of the exhibition “The Wedding: Fantasies and Fears” will take place at Tytonie.art in Lublin.
