This is not to be missed! A trip to the costume exhibition by our own Aleksandra Sochan
We warmly invite our students to join a group trip to the Barbara and Stanisław Ptak Museum – a branch of the Katowice History Museum.
This is a unique opportunity to admire the work of our talented graduate, Aleksandra Sochan, in person and immerse yourself in the world of her costume design vision. The trip will take place on November 22, and it will be led by Costume Design instructors: Ms. Zofia Kula Jeżowska and Ms. Anna Drobczyk. This is the perfect occasion for Team MSKPU to bond together . The trip will also include a visit to the Chorzów Entertainment Theatre – with a tour of the theatre workshops – as well as attendance at the musical performance of “Cabaret.” Domestic and international trips are a regular part of the MSKPU program and are designed to help our students on their path to #dreamdesigning.
It’s no wonder Aleksandra swept the awards at the Graduation Show! Her collection “The Wedding – Fantasies and Fears” impressed with its interpretation of selected characters from the drama by Stanisław Wyspiański and creative use of second-hand fabrics. The costumes were recognized by the Katowice History Museum, the Film Workers’ Union, MSKPU, and Capitol Theatre. As part of the award from the Katowice History Museum, Aleksandra’s graduation collection will be showcased in this exhibition.
The exhibition opening will be on November 7. We encourage all costume lovers to attend.
