Paris, Dior, Alaïa, and Thousands of Fabrics – The MSKPU Team in the Heart of the Industry!

Paris, Dior, Alaïa, and Thousands of Fabrics – The MSKPU Team in the Heart of the Industry!

The annual MSKPU trip to Paris has become a small tradition for us. It’s a few intense days during which students can immerse themselves in the world of fashion right at the heart of the industry – at the Première Vision fairs, in museums, and on the streets of one of the world’s most important fashion capitals.

International Networking

Première Vision is one of the most important events for the fashion industry in Europe. Our students had a unique opportunity to connect with exhibitors from around the world and access fashion industry job offers that open doors unavailable in any other way. Thanks to the knowledge gained in MSKPU’s Material Studies classes, our students expertly selected fabrics for future collections and their own clothing brands. Under the guidance of lecturers Zofia Kula-Jeżowska and Marta Sieradzka, they analyzed innovations setting new design standards. This priceless lesson opens doors to an international career and allows students to build personal brands based on the highest-quality materials!

Paris Must-Sees for Designers

MSKPU students also had the chance to visit the most important fashion exhibitions in Paris, which attract the attention of the entire industry – from La Galerie Dior and the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and Palais Galliera. Each place offered a unique lesson in style and craftsmanship. Inspirations from these visits will now serve as starting points for their own projects – both diploma works and personal collections!

The MSKPU Community Beyond the Screen

These trips are also an opportunity for meetings, conversations, and building relationships that often evolve into future projects and collaborations. Walking along Rue Saint-Honoré, exploring Parisian boutiques together, or evening discussions about projects and ideas are moments that bring the young designers’ community closer. Students returned from Paris with bags full of fabric samples and catalogs, but above all with an enormous dose of inspiration, new knowledge, and energy to create!
